Edward Alton Cole was born on March 18, 1929 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma to the late Edward Ellis and Virgie Alice (Love) Cole.  He passed from this life on February 12, 2015 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas at the age of 85 years, 10 months, and 25 days.

Edward was raised in Nocona, Texas where he attended and graduated high school and married Rumina Reed in 1967 in Nigeria.

Edward was employed as a Petroleum Engineer for Halliburton Oil Company and also Dowell-Schlumberger until his retirement where he and his family moved to the Fillmore/Milburn area and he began his life as a rancher. 

 Edward raised his family in many different countries for over twenty years.  He also trained new employees in Poe France. He spent much of his life traveling with his family in several different overseas countries.

Edward enjoyed history and working the cattle on his farm.

Edward is survived by his children: Ricky Cole and his wife Eileen of San Antonio, TX, Barbara Ellis of the home, Debra Diane Howell of Ft. Worth, TX.  A brother Jimmy Cole of Jacksonville, TX, a sister Patricia Webb and her husband F.E. Webb, JR MD of Tishomingo, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rumina (Jan. 2012), a son Randy Cole and a grandchild Christopher Ellis.  Memorials are to be made to the Heifer International: 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR/USA 72202
 

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday February 16 at the Assembly of God Church in Tishomingo, OK with the Rev. Eugene Ledford, officiating.  Interment will follow at the Condon Grove Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Mitchell Cranmore, Adam Cranmore, F.E. Webb Jr., MD., Danny McCurry, Larry Crites and Kent Cole.

Viewing will be at the Tishomingo Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday from 1:00-6:00 P.M. and Monday from 9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. and the Services are under the direction of Tishomingo Funeral Home, 705 N. Kemp, Tishomingo, OK.
