James "Shanky" F. Conway
February 16, 1939 ~ May 1, 2015 (age 76) 76 Years OldJames "Shanky" Franklin Conway of Mannsville passed away on Friday May 01, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 15 days. James was born on February 16, 1939 in Gene Autry, Oklahoma to the late Herbert McKinsie Conway and Ola Mae Gunsolus. James attended school in Berwin, Oklahoma which is now Gene Autry. He made Ardmore his home for the most of his life before moving to Mannsville to be with his son and daughter-in-law. James had many different jobs during his lifetime, James worked at the Pepsi Cola Plant. James worked a short time in road construction uction for MC Winters in Texas. He also worked for the City of Ardmore digging graves, JC Yeats for 9 years delivering furniture. James also worked for Terry Little for more than 10 years cleaning carpets. Some of James' hobbies and things that he enjoyed doing were, fishing in the Washita River, loved spending time with Kenneth, and running around with his brother Lawrence. James also loved to go garage saling with his sister, Diana and to go Joe Tibb's Auction. James enjoyed his last visit his brother, Roger Conway. He also loved joking with his daughter-in-law, Mary Conway and her cooking.

James was preceded in death by both his parents; daughter, Kathy Howard; 2 brothers, Richard Conway & Fred Conway; & sister, Darlena Huff.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 06, 2015 at 2 PM at the First Assembly of God in Marietta with Justin Hartwell officiating.
