Linda Jo (Carr) Dawson was born in Grand Prairie, Texas on May 23rd, 1955 and passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Alex, Oklahoma, on June 27th, 2016, at the age of 61.

Linda was a long time resident of Tishomingo and is survived by her daughter Misty Parr and husband David Parr, of Alex, Oklahoma; grandchildren Bayli and Marcus Robertson of Alex, Oklahoma, Andrew and Kyli Hightower of Grandby, Missouri and Eli and Daniella Parr of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Jaxon Hightower, Bryson Robertson, Wyatt Hightower and David Parr; sisters, Deborah Cartisano of Sandy, Utah and Patricia Reinhart of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Jack and Jewel Martin; parents, Buck and Geneva Carr; uncle, Arthur Lee Martin; aunt, Joleta Kosechata; nephew, Ricky Kosechata; niece, Jamie Reinhart.

Linda's life was truly one of service and love. She was kind, generous with her time and resources, genuinely happy for the success of others, forgiving and funny. Linda's family enjoyed her sense of humor and quick wit. Many times she would say something hilarious and awkward, just what everyone was thinking but would never say! She loved traveling, Dr. Pepper, her dog Sadie and spending time with her family and friends. She spent her life in the service of her loved ones, in sickness and in health. Her charitable nature and cheerful countenance brought great joy to her friends and family. She loved being a nanny and an aunt. The lives of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews are infinitely better because of her presence. While we are saddened for her passing, we have peace knowing our family is eternal. We are joyful for the sweet reunion with her parents and loved ones. We know she will continue to grow and learn in God's spirit and grace until we meet again.

The family would like to thank the staff of Aspire Hospice in Marlow, Oklahoma for their dedication and kindness.
