Marian “Elizabeth” Reese, 85, passed away on November 12, 2015 at her residence in Kingston, OK.  She was born on July 4, 1930 to Monroe Barwick and Edith Lyle (Combs) in Kingston, OK.

She attended and graduated Kingston High School in 1948 and attended Murray State College for a year then married the love her life, Loyd Reese on August 5, 1949. They made their home in Denison for 35 years then in 1982 moved to Marshall County, where they lived on the lake near Kingston.

She was of the Methodist faith, was a member of a bowling league in Denison, and was a former member of the Kingston Eastern Star.  She loved water skiing, camping, fishing with her family and was a wonderful cook.  Early in the marriage, Elizabeth attended many calf roping events alongside her husband where she would sell pop for 10 cents to help pay for his fees.

She enjoyed many hunting trips to Colorado with her husband where she would cook for the men.  She loved to play dominoes and enjoyed dancing with her husband and their friends. When her children were young, her house was the gathering place for all the neighborhood children.

Elizabeth loved her family very much, especially the grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all her nieces and nephews. Her home was still where all the family and friends gathered.

She is survived by her husband Loyd of the home; her children:  Libbie Ann Reese of the home and Garry Reese and wife Teresa of Mead, OK; her grandchildren:  Edith Marie Howell and Chris of Durant, John Mark Mercer of Kingston, Angela Hughes and Jason of Blue, Garry-David Reese of Durant, Keisha Starlene Wickersham and Darren of Brown.  Her brother and sister:  Monroe Barwick, Jr of Kingston OK, and Ruth Ann Bachest of Denison, TX, whom was raised alongside her own children like a daughter.  Marian has 17 great grandchildren and numerous great nieces and nephews she thought of as her grandchildren.

During her illness Elizabeth welcomed and adopted into her family her caretakers and held a special place in her heart for her nurses Marquita and Nita, nurses aid Jamie, Chaplin Keith, Social worker Tim.
