Rosa Marie Nash of Ravia passed away on Tuesday March 01, 2016 at her home at the age of 70 years, 10 months, and 20 days. Rosa was born on March 12, 1945 in Fox, OK to the late Albert Carter and Opal (Thomanson) Carter.

Rosa attended school at Lindsay public schools as well as Fox public schools. Rosa was a hard working lady, she was known to haul hay and cut wood and she later went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in many healthcare facilities with most recent being the former Lawnview Nursing Center in Tishomingo. Rosa enjoyed people, she enjoyed her family.

She loved to cook. Rosa loved to clean. Her family says she would break into a "cleaning mood" and start cleaning out of no where. These are just a few memories the family are going to hold dear their heart.

Rosa is survived by her husband James Roland Nash of the home as well as,

1 brother:         Thomas Carter of Ardmore

 

4 sons:             Freddy Drawbaugh & wife Ronda of Ada;

                              Johnny Drawbaugh of Ravia

                              LeRoy Drawbaugh of the home 

                              Bryan Nash of Ravia

 

7 daughters:     Debora Pena & husband Ricky of Sulphur;

                        Andrea Graham & husband Cody of Ravia;

                        Sandra Vargas of Stratford;

                        Angela Alaniz of Fort Worth, TX

                        Ethel Silverio of Fort Worth, TX 

                        Debra Daire of Fort Worth, TX

                        Sheila Jones of Fort Worth, TX

 

Rosa is also survived by 46 wonderful grandchildren and 81 great-grandchildren

Rosa also leaves behind her beloved canine companion, Dixie as well as host of nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, 2 brothers; Edward Carter and Jimmy Carter, 1 son; Ricky Dale Drawbaugh, and 1 great-grandson Bronson Dale Gilmore.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2pm at the Ravia Baptist Church with Reverend Trent Maness officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.tishomingofuneralhome.com Services have entrusted to care and direction of Tishomingo Funeral Home 705 N. Kemp Ave.
