Kentan Derral McLeran, 86, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, passed away on February 9, 2024, after a long illness, with his wife by his side and his caregiver Shannon Matheson. He was born on December 19, 1937, in Woodward, Oklahoma.
Kentan was a hardworking and devoted Christian man who resided in Tishomingo for 29 years. He was married to Margaret for 32 years and he had two daughters, Judy Williams and Jaelynn McLeran. Kentan was also a beloved stepfather to Larry McMillian wife Celena, Becky McMillian, Leslie Gadbury, and Shannon Matheson. He cherished his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kentan was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Altha McLeran, and his daughters Julie Ruth McLeran and Kathy Lynn McLeran. He is survived by his siblings Ronald McLeran, Ona Ruth Phillips, and Bonnie Underwood.
In his professional life, Kentan excelled as a mechanic and machinist. He honed his skills and made valuable contributions throughout his career.
Kentan proudly served in the Air Force Branch D1214. His military service was a testament to his dedication and commitment to his country.
Kentan found solace and spiritual fulfillment at Bullard Chapel Baptist Church, where he worshipped. His faith played a significant role in his life.
Outside of his work and faith, Kentan had a passion for hunting and fishing. He found joy in spending time with his wife and their dog, creating lasting memories together.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Tishomingo Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday at 6:00 p.m. at Hartwell Funeral Home, located in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
