Penny Lee (Burdick) Sears

Penny Lee (Burdick) Sears, age 61, passed away Saturday, December 21st in Ardmore, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.  She was born on September 19, 1958 in Ardmore, Ok to the late Douglas and Katherine (Pierce) Burdick.  Penny lived most of her life in this area and was of the Pentecostal faith.

On December 26, 1978, Penny married Johnnie Sears, a union that lasted 36 years until Johnnie's death in 2015.  From that union three children were born.  She spent most of her life as a homemaker.  

Penny definitely enjoyed cooking.  Penny's house was the place everyone came to get something good to eat.  She made sure no one ever left her house hungry.  She still offered her kids food when they came over even after, they were grown.  Penny also loved her Boston Bull Terrier, BJ.  She thought of him as one of her children.

Penny came from a large family.  She was the youngest of nine children.

She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory:

She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, her dog, BJ, and numerous other family members and friends.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

No services are scheduled at this time.
