Skye Dodd - Wyrick Current Services

Skye Whitney Dodd Wyrick was born Wednesday May 18, 1988 at 10:45 a.m. to Donald Dean and Dina Lynn Dodd in Tishomingo, OK.

In typical Skye fashion she skidded into this world, pulling up the rear, as if to say "Okay people I'm here now. let's get

this party started."  And as I vividly recall when the nurse came into the hospital waiting area and told her Daddy that he

had healthy twin girls, Don's eyes bugged, dilated and glassed over as he slid down the wall. Its like he knew this was going to

be one wild ride.  And that my friends was how our beautiful Skye Whitney would live her life for the next 30 years.

As her name signified, she would bring a ray of sunshine into our world but don't close your eyes because that ray could turn

into a hurricane in 1.2 seconds.  She was a beautiful force to be reckoned with and that force could be mighty powerful if you

knew her love.  Her smile, goofiness and laughter could lighten the darkest day.

Skye grew up in Coalgate, OK but she spent a good portion of her childhood with her brother, sister and an army of cousins

(that were more like siblings) at her grandparent’s homes in Olney and Wapanucka, OK getting into mischief and crazy antics.

She began working at 16 for Sonic and would continue to work for Sonic for fourteen years until the day she passed from this

world. The people she worked for, along beside and those she served would all agree that she was the absolute best.

Wherever Skye went she seemed to pull some magical dust from above and charm a whole host of new friends for she never met

a stranger. Once you were welcomed into her embrace you were forever her friend for she did not have a judgmental bone in her

body.  Her eyes would sparkle, her mouth would spread into that big irresistible smile, her voice would ring true with contagious

laughter as she enchanted you into her web of joy and love. At that time, you forever had a friend. She would be your biggest

supporter and continually saw your worth, even when she could not see her own. She would always say "The Skye is the limit" and

that motto would follow her wandering spirit throughout all the adventures, journeys and trials of her young life.

On October 22, 2005 she would pluck a star into her sky as she gave birth to her gorgeous baby girl, Alexia Jade. Two years

later, on March 14, 2007, she would include another star, a precious baby boy, Christian Ray, into her life. She loved her

babies dearly and could be heard saying that they were the best thing that ever happened to her.

She would wed Patrick Wyrick in Washington in May 2009.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Charles Seward Loudermilk, James Hubart "Gub" Dodd and Leona Myrle "Sis" Beleele

     Dodd

She will forever be missed by her beautiful children Alexia Jade and Christian Ray. Her parents Donald and Dina Dodd. The best

older brother a girl could ask for, Chris Woods and wife Cara.  A twin sister, Stormy, whom Skye would call her "Wombmate."

Brothers:  Wesley and Jesse. Nieces: Ruthie, Angel and Montana. Nephews: Zeppelin and Wyatt. Grandmother, Linda Loudermilk.

Aunt Brenda Woods and husband Jeff, Uncle Kirk Loudermilk and wife Cynthia, Uncle Keith Loudermilk, Aunt Kim Dodd and Aunt Sandy

     Morgan and husband Dale.

Her army of cousins; Markus Woods and wife Sarah,  Brandon Loudermilk and wife Jessica, Mitchell Loudermilk and wife Kristan,

Amanda Jo Dodd, Logan Woods and wife Jessica,  Bethany Wilson and husband Blake, Stephanie Morris and husband Ethan, Travis

Loudermilk, Makayla Loudermilk, Ryan Spencer, Patrick Estep, Shanda Sherwood and husband Michael, Crystal McCarter and husband

Frank, Julie Lee and husband Tony, Jennison Dodd. Special great cousins: Kyler, Krimson, Keaton, Jezlyn, Kimber and Kinley.

A whole host of additional family and many dear friends.

Skye you were a musical shining star in our world that will never extinguish. We will cherish the goofiness, the love, the

laughter, the music, the dreams, and the tears we've shared with you. Thank you for teaching us that the sky is the limit and we

will try to make you proud of us. We love you so very much baby girl. This is not goodbye for we will meet you in the sky

     someday.
