Evelyn Sue Shahan Batt was born October 22nd, 1940 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Theresa Cross and James Jackson Shahan. 

Sue passed from this life on Thursday evening August 31, 2017 at the Denton Rehab & Nursing Center in Denton, TX at the age of 76 years.

She married Don Batt March 23rd, 1957 and were a husband and wife team whose commitment and love grew stronger through the passage of time.  Don preceded her in death on April 9, 2014.

She attended Wilson School and Shawnee High School and operated Tishomingo Abstract for 16 years and worked there for a total of 26 years retiring in 1995.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tishomingo, OK.

Sue is survived by;  two daughters, Dana Krebs of Memphis TN, Jody Heller, Colleyville, TX.  One son and daughter in law John and Flori Batt of Denton, TX. Six grandchildren, Mallory Krebs and Joe Krebs, Memphis, TN, Trevor Elwood and Riggin Heller, Colleyville, TX. Alejandro Batt and Sofia Batt, Denton, TX. One sister Ruth McGraw, Moore, OK.  One brother and sister in law Chuck and Linda Shahan, Temple, TX.  A brother in law and sister in law Roy and June Batt, Dale, OK. And one sister in law Fern Shahan, Shawnee, OK.  A host of nieces and nephews and her loyal companions Katie, Bear, and Rusty that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Bob, Ed, and J.C. Shahan.  Two sisters Patsy Chapman and Alice Coley.
