Wyvonnia Culp of Tishomingo stepped into eternity with Jesus on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at the Post Acute Speciality Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 12 days. Wyvonnia was born in Fillmore, OK on August 15, 1937, to the late Calvin Kip Sliger and Almeda (Dupree) Sliger.
Wyvonnia was raised in the Fillmore and Milburn area. She attended elementary school in Fillmore and then went on to high school in Milburn. Wyvonnia worked as a registered nurse at the former Johnston County Memorial Hospital in Tishomingo for many years. She also served as a dispatcher for the Tishomingo Police Department. In 1974 Wyvonnia married Claude Culp at the Bullard Chapel Baptist Church in Tishomingo a union that would last 44 years. Wyvonia enjoyed hunting and fishing, cooking and she loved to travel. Wyvonnia was of the Baptist Faith and was affiliated with the Fillmore Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services to honor Wyvonnia's life will be held on Friday, March 01, 2019 at 11 AM at the Fillmore Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Claudie Alford officiating. Interment will follow in the Fillmore Cemetery with Jacob Alford, Jeremy Reich, Chris Goodman, Troy Duke, Harvey Culp, & Shawn Duke assisting as pallbearers. Jerry Black Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Tishomingo Funeral Home.
