Cecile "Sue" Mary (Williams) Blair

Cecile Mary (Williams) Blair, 83 of Tishomingo passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 19, 2023.  Cecile, better known as "Sue" was born May 1, 1939 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late George Philo  Williams and Cecile Mary Williams. 

She grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania.  In 2011, Sue moved to Tishomingo from New Mexico.  She enjoyed playing bingo with her daughter, Mary.  They would go to different places to play.  Sue didn't care where they went as long as she was getting to play.  She also enjoyed playing cards and scratch off lottery tickets.  Sue didn't think you should ever pass up a good bargain so she found much pleasure in going to garage sales.  She was a collector of anything and everything purple.  Some of the small appliances in her house were even purple.  It was definitely her favorite color.  

Sue was preceded in death by both of parents; daughter, Valerie Nease; sons, William Blair Jr. and William Harry Blair; brother, Curtis Williams; sisters Sally Williams and Alice Bell.

She is survived by daughters, Vicki Matthews of Hanover, Indiana, Mary Phillips and husband, Jack of Tishomingo, and Penny Brooker of Tatum, NM; son, Michael Blair and wife, Sherry of Tatum, NM; grandchildren, Jason Youngs Tony Youngs, Robert Rhyne, Matthew Rhyne, Christopher Rhyne, Jack Phillips III, Tabatha Deaton, James Phillips, Casey Humphries, Jennifer Blair, Michael Blair Jr., Vincent McClain, Vanessa James, Amanda Stout, and Cassie Campbell; along with 50 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  

The family has chosen cremation and there are no services scheduled at this time.  Online condolences may be posted for the family at hartwellfuneralhome.com.
