Charles "Charlie" Keeler of Mannsville left his earthly home on April 29, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, Ok at the age of 77 years. Charles was born January 9, 1945 in Portland, Oregon to the late Jay Keeler and Ida "Bailey" Keeler.
On September 23,1965 Charlie joined the United States Army where he served in Vietnam as a sergeant. On September 22, 1971 Charlie received his honorable discharge. He was awarded numerous medals for his service to his country to include, Purple Heart, Rifle Sharpshooter Award, Combat Infantry Badge , Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze service stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
On October 23, 1967 Charles married the love of his life Betty Keeler in Ardmore, Oklahoma, This union would last 54 wonderful years.
Some of the many hobbies that Charlie enjoyed were going out to the barn and playing his old country music records. Charlie also enjoyed being outdoors, doing yard work and shooting pool.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Betty Keeler of Mannsville; Son Talbe Keeler of Mannsville: Daughters; Linda Keeler of Mannsville; Tammy Keeler of Mannsville; Sarah Keeler of Mannsville. Sisters, Becky Thompson of Ardmore; Minnie Coffey of Ardmore; Grandchildren, Cody Blanton, Anna Hodges, Brianna Keeler, Tabatha Sherman; Great-Grandchildren, Charlie Ray, Natalie Ray, Samantha Keeler, Dean Johnson, Samuel Johnson, Axel Walker, Jaxon Sherman, Cayden Sherman, Danny Sherman, Dixie Sherman.
Charles was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Charles Gilmore; Sister, Beth Carroll
Graveside services to honor and celebrate Charlie's life of will be Friday, May 6, 2022 at 2 pm in Lone Cedar Cemetery in Mannsville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 pm until 7 pm.
