Elizabeth Ann (Tweedy) Segura

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Elizabeth Ann “Tweedy” Segura announces her passing on December 15, 2023 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She was born on July 10, 1939 in Russet, Oklahoma to Curtis and Nettie Tweedy.

Elizabeth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a Healthcare manager at NH in Oklahoma City, Manager of Montgomery Wards, and worked at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife to her husband Edward Segura for over 50 years. She was a loving mother to her son Bill Moody and daughter Cynthia Ann Boles (deceased). She was a caring grandmother to her five grandchildren. Elizabeth was a supportive sister to her siblings Catherine Spillers, Curtis Wayne Tweedy, Charlie Tweedy (deceased), and Ila Davis.

Elizabeth was a kind and gentle soul who loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, going on walks, and loved going to dinner with her son. In 2010, Elizabeth moved to Tishomingo from Alaska, where she and her son had lived for 17 years.

Elizabeth was a strong and resilient woman who will be remembered for her courage and grace. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

No service will be held at this time. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Elizabeth’s memory. 

Elizabeth’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. May she rest in peace.
