Georgia Marie (Hendrickson) Baker

Georgia Baker of Tishomingo passed from this life on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Coal County General Hospital in Coalgate, Oklahoma.   She was born on November 20, 1939 in Shelbyville, Indiana to the late Warren Hendrickson and Ruby (Sipes) Hendrickson.   Georgia moved to Tishomingo in 2011 coming from Fort Worth, Tx.  She worked as a sales associate for Dillard's department store in Fort Worth for many years selling shoes.  

Georgia was known to be a people person, and she was extremely outgoing and loved people.  She knew a lot of people in Tishomingo and most of them knew her as "grandma."  Georgia loved to dance and never missed an opportunity to go out dancing.  Like many other women, Georgia loved to shop!  When she was able, she would walk all over town to go shopping.  She enjoyed walking so it wasn't a task for her.  Georgia was a member of M.A.D. Ministries where she attended and enjoyed serving the Lord.

Georgia was preceded in death by both parents.

She is survived by daughters, Tammy Ferguson of Tishomingo and Penny Giaquinto of Benbrook, Tx; brother, Bobby Hendrickson of Indiana; sisters, Diana Hendrickson of Shelbyville, Indiana and Nilah Barrett of North Carolina.  Georgia also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services to celebrate Georgia's life will be held at M.A.D. Ministries at a later date.  The date will be posted on the funeral home website once determined by the family.
