Norma Ann (Fergueson) Shafer of Tishomingo passed away peacefully at her home January 9, 2021 at the age of 75 years, 4 months, and 8 days. Norma was known as Ann to all of her family and friends. Ann was born on September 1, 1945 in Hamilton County, Texas to the late Howard Lee Fergueson and Carmia Mozell (McCain) Fergueson.
She was married to LaVere Eugene Shafer, better known as Butch Shafer. The couple made their home in Tishomingo in 2009 after living in the Kingston and Enos area. Ann worked as a pharmacy tech for Wal-Mart until her retirement in 2006.
Ann and Butch enjoyed traveling together on their motorcycle. They traveled to many places on the motorcycle, including a trip to South Dakota to visit Mount Rushmore. She was a member of a Christian motorcycle group and also, a member of the Honda Goldwing Riders. Although, Ann loved riding with her husband, scrapbooking was where she enjoyed spending most of her time. Scapbooking was her life. This was evident by looking at the albums in her house where she proudly displayed her talent.
Ann was preceded in death by both parents; and brothers, Kenneth Fergueson and Norman Fergueson.
She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, husband, Butch Shafer of the home; son, Eugene "Freddie" Shafer of Marietta; daughter, Karen Woolly and Nelson of Tishomingo; brothers, Ernie Fergueson of Kingston, Donald Fergueson of Kingston, Paul Fergueson of Denison, Tx, and Larry Fergueson of Thackerville; sisters, Barbara Corgnell of Kingston and Betty McCammon of Marietta.
The family has chosen cremation to honor Mrs. Shafer's final wishes. Online condolences may be made to the family at tishomingofuneralhome.com.
