William “Len” Linwood Gipson, 78, of Ardmore, OK, passed away on December 23, 2023. He was born January 19, 1945, in Alexander City, Alabama. Len was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

On August 27, 1962, he married his wife Gail Carlisle Gipson in Lafayette, Alabama. He and Gail spent 61 years of marriage together. They moved to Oklahoma in 1975. They resided in Sand Springs, then moved to Tulsa, where he served as associate pastor for the Highland Church of God. In February 1984 Len became the Senior Pastor of the Altus Church of God where he faithfully served for 16 years. Thinking he was going to retire, he moved to Ardmore in 1999. However, it wasn’t long before he began filling in for struggling churches. In 2005 he took on the role of Senior Pastor once again for the Ravia Church of God where he just recently retired. Ministry was his life.

Throughout his life, Len made a significant impact on others through his 40 years of ministry. His greatest accomplishments were the souls he led to Christ and the profound impact he had on the lives of others.

Len enjoyed several hobbies including hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending quality time with his family. He found joy in these activities and cherished the moments shared with his loved ones.

He will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his devoted spouse, Gail Gipson. Brother, Phillip Gipson, and sister Becky Lashley. Four Children: Daughters Sherry McNeil and husband Clark, Paula Peterson and husband Robert, Jennifer Alexander and husband Chad. Son, Toby Gipson and wife Jasmine. Grandchildren: Ashley Jamison and husband Josh, Lyndsey McNeil, Robbie Peterson and wife Robyn, Amy Kitchens and husband Todd, Cameron Alexander and wife Erica, Evin Alexander, Bailey Cain and husband Christopher, and Brayden Gipson.
